Abstract—With the rapidly gaining ground of the Internet ofthings, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) will be bound topermeate more and more applications. However, due to thenature of these applications such as harsh environment,resource-limited wireless sensor networks are usually faultprone.Therefore, it is essential to provide effective faultmanagement techniques and robust fault managementframeworks for WSNs. This paper makes a comprehensiveview of the existing fault management frameworks dedicatedlydesigned for WSNs along with detail discussions.
